is there any way of getting my hands on a cylinder kit to convert a Model 19 frame to use the multi rounds as the medusa 47 does? Or is there a forum or place/person that has a medusa 47 for sale?
Back in the day, Phillips & Rodgers made a drop-in cylinder for the Ruger Blackhawk and S&W 686 with modifications to the S&W; I know because I have one. One of those cylinders came up for sale on an auction site and I had to have it. I didn't have a Blackhawk but those are easy to find all day long. Given that Medusa revolvers were going for $2K+ I was prepared to dump respectable coin on this cylinder but I lucked out and paid less than $200.00. It works great and, as you can see, it looks good in the gun.
Eventually, I finally found a Medusa 47 (two, actually) and oddly enough, I've seen way more of those revolvers come up for sale in the last couple of years than the Blackhawk cylinders. So far, this is the only cylinder I've seen compared to about eight revolvers.
