Media isn't reporting it yet - Oregon mall killer was confronted by concealed carrier

The only thing that I would disagree with is that the concealed carrier didn't kill the man. He knew he was a threat as he had already fired and killed people in the mall. The concealed carrier should have never allowed him the opportunity to retreat anywhere as he could have came right back out after clearing his jam and started taking out more people, including the concealed carrier himself. Once he pulled his gun, he should have either killed the man or made sure the man would never again have access to that weapon at least. That potentially made the situation even more dangerous if you think about it...

After reading the story, I stand corrected. He did the right thing by not firing, agree. He could have missed and killed someone behind the shooter. I thought he was closer and well within range of ending the threat. Apologize for that.

Thank you for that link.
If true it certainly paints a different light on the mall shooting
although it will never see the light of mainstream media who
is too busy beating their own drum.

Click on the link and read the story - he had a good reason for not shooting. It's OK to disagree with his decision, but of course we weren't there.

Armchair quarterbacking at it's best. 99.9% of us have never been in a real life or death situation so we can't really judge that man's actions.

Is this legit? Confirmed?

Most of these cowardly killers stop as soon as their massacre turns into a gun fight.

As soon as they hear the cops are near they kill themselves. If presented with any threat, most of them end their mindless rampage.

A CCW person drawing in that element gives the murderer exactly what they didn't want.

Really hope this is legit. As far as him not "taking out" the BG, just him presenting a threat to the BG may have been enough to end it.

Another good reason to not kill him... or atleast subdue him if possible..

In tragedies like these where the murderer kills himself/herself ..its very hard to figure why such an act was conceived.. with the killer taken alive into custody..maybe we can learn something from it.

Its very hard to judge if this would have been even possible at all.. If the man had a death wish I'm sure it might not have been wise..I dunno.

I'm sure everyone on this forum has already thought what they would have done in that situation.. But none of us really know what we would do..
