I found some of these mags the guy at the shop says they are as good as factory beretta mags and that mecgar makes mags as oem for most auto loaders is this true? I had a s&w 9mm auto and it came with 2 macgars when I bought it used and i never had a problem with them.

So my question is are these good magazines and is what the guy in the shop told me true? Also I'ad espscialy like to hear from anyone here who has these for a beretta 92 as this is the gun i'am looking at them for. btw they are pre ban 15rd. mags fwiw any help is great thanks in advance.

Second hand info but, everything I've read about them says they are as good as factory (which is a rare comment on any aftermarket mag.).

Mec-Gar is the OEM manufacture of magazines for many European companies. I know they make Sigs magazines, I think they do Beretta's also but I am not for sure.
Either way they make a quality product.

I have a preban Mecgar for my 92g, it is as good as factory, I also have a few postbans for my 92g, and they are also very high quality. Mecgar makes a very good mag, I would rate them as being right there with factory mags, although any mag can develop problems.
I have heard other people say that Mecgar is an OEM manufacturer, I honestly don't know if that's true, but I trust them enough to use in my favorite pistol. Beretta 92G Elite 1

I have always been told..."If you don't buy factory mags, get Mecgar's, they are the only good ones around"

I can't verify these statements because I always buy factory mags.....I'm just goofy that way:D

Never had a problem with them. Along with the other mfg's mentioned, they make the OEM mags for CZ.

"... If you don't buy factory mags, get Mecgar's, they are the only good ones around." That statement can often be carried a step further with some manufacturers mags - even if you can get factory mags, you should get Mec-gars instead. As with any mechanical device, you're going to find some that aren't up to par or need some fine tuning.
