Does Mec-Gar now manufacture magazines for CZ-75?

How reliable is pre-ban Mec-Gar mags for the CZ?

I don't have any per-ban Mec-Gars for my CZ but I do have them for some other pistols. Mec-Gar is the only aftermarket magazine I would 100% recommend. Very good construction and reputation.

Skorzeny, check out cdnninvestments.com. they have New 15 round Mec-Gar mags for the CZ 75 for $39.95. I have two and they function perfect. Shoot Safe....CO

Ammoclip explained to me that there were a great number of preban mags that fit the CZ75 due to demand from all the clones made before the iron curtain fell ( EAA Witness, etc. ).

Mec-Gar is the only magazine that will not reliably function in Terri's Taurus PT-92.

Thanks all for the information. Just as I thought.

I was actually thinking about the 15-round Mec-Gar's from CDNN.

I think that I will go ahead and buy a couple to add to my existing stock as it looks like Bush may not win this November (and if so, the ban is sure to be renewed in 2004).

I think that I'll also try one of the Promag's to see if they work 100%.

BTW, CDNN's service is excellent! I bought a couple of unreliable 10-round mags for Mini-14 from there, and they agreed to take them back for an exchange or a refund right away. It's nice to buy from people who stand behind their product.

I don't see how MecGars can be factory CZ mags when they're made in the US or Italy. CZ mags are made in the Czech Republic. You can get genuine CZ preban factory mags for $45 from CZUSA.

CZs, like other pistols with wide tolerances, function with just about any mag. I've had good luck with ProMags and USA mags.

CZ-USA may now be shipping their pistols with Mec-Gar mags, but from it's inception, mags for the CZ 75 have been manufactured in the Brno (pronounced "Brun", believe it or not.) factory. The CZ 75 mags I own are about ten years old, and they bear little, if any resemblance to a Mec-Gar product.

The mags that came with my .40 CZ75B that I picked up last month are stamped MecGar. Haven't had a mis-feed yet.
