Mec-Gar 20 Round Mags for Ruger 9 MM

I just got several of these and tried loading them up. They do take 20 rounds of 9 MM, but I noticed when unloading them that several of the rounds were nose down. I suspect that this would cause a feeding jam. I got this same result with both Winchester and Remington FMJ. I do not know how these mags would do in the pistol since I haven't taken them to the range yet. Does anyone have experience with these beautifully made and finished nickelplated Mec-Gars?

Thanks,

I had the same problem, I used them for my PC9 rifle. They also didn't hold the bolt back. I don't know which one corrected the proplem becuase I did both at the same time but I replaced the springs with wolff +10% and replaced the followers with factory.

I have over 1000 rounds through a single mag with no problems. Glad I bought a dozen of them whem I did.

These Mec-Gars lock in well into the P95, but not into the late model P89. But I found I could lock the mag in by pressing on the release button once the mag is inserted. So these mags are usable in both pistols. I will check them out at the range soon. I plan to take one to the coming gun shows to see if it fits into the Ruger carbine PC9.
