measuring a ported barrell..how?

I should know this. That said, I have a factory ported revolver. Does the barrell length include all the way to the crown, including the port? Or is it measured just to the end of the main part of the barrell?

If you're measuring for legal reasons, it's measured from recoil shield to the end of the barrel.

If you're measuring the barrel length for ballistic reasons, then only measure from recoil shield to the end of the rifling.

9x19, come on now, you know better. A revolver barrel is measured from the forcing cone, not the recoil shield.
