I've always been real picky when setting up a rifle. I want dense wood in the stock, not the soft junk we're sold, nowadays; and I want it bedded "just so". I want a trigger that breaks cleanly, like snapping a glass rod. I want a scope which functions correctly. And, I'm picky about "pet loads".

I have found that once I've gotten things just right, I don't have to screw with it anymore. Check the sight-in before deer season but otherwise leave it mostly alone. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

What this is all about is, quality rifles can indeed reach out there and touch. See my shameless brag in range reports. :)

Ciao, Art
