McDonald's - I called - Willis is STILL employed!

Well folks I thought it was time to clear up the McDonalds shooting incident so I called and spoke to the manager on duty.

Willis Lee, the man who defended himself and others, is still an employee at that McDonalds.

I wonder if continued employment at Mickey Dee constitutes punishment. :)

Any word on whether McDonalds' officially backed down in public, or did they just take him back when no one was looking?
 
So the Houston TV station got it wrong, huh? Not surprised--they don't even bother to check the facts.

I always believe that the written word is a little more effective in getting attention, so I'm drafting a letter. I'll actually send it if I can find the printout that has the store owner's name! In the meantime, here's the mailing address for that store (reverse phone-number lookup for the number CMOS gave):

I got a reply from McDonald's saying that the store was a franchise operation and what happened to the janitor was up to the owner.

I had dumped on them and their corporate policy earlier, so I wrote and thanked them for not leaning on the franchisee. I thanked them for a polite reply and mentioned what had happened to K-Mart after their "in-your-face" stonewall response.

I also explained to them that as gun owners, we were tired of seeing our hobby constanty demonized by the PC corporations, and therefore took to the boycott as our only means of fighting back.

Thanks to CMOS and papercut. A phone call or postcard of thanks is good PR.
 
I just had an email discussion with a friend and this was my last reply.

You know, I just thought about this. The liberal media claimed to millions of people that a man lost his source of income for sticking up his rights and protecting the lives of others. It was a lie. But, what seed of thought was planted by this media in making that claim?
