McCarthy "hails" enactment of much amended H.R. 2640, more here than meets the eye?

I cannot prove it either way, but seems to me that I've seen or read mention of Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy having become "desperate" to see the enactment of something with her name on it, such enactment would serve to show her Long Island New York constituents that she was doing something.

Might that be behind her "hailing" enactment of what appears to be much amended legislation, that is quite far from what she had originally envisioned? Interesting thought. As for Senator Charles Schumer having joined her in this "hailing" business, who knows what evil lurks in the mind of man?

The bill that the NRA backed is a clear case of turd polishing. You don't "improve" a bad law, you repeal it.

The NRA, of which I'm a life member, still doesn't get it despite a majority of members who wrote in to tell them to stop supporting this legislation. LaPierre decided, and that's that.
