Maybe wrong scope ?

I have a H&R Sporster single shot in .22 magnum with the H&R scope rail. I mounted a NC Star extended eye relief scope on it. I am not getting the accuracy that I should be getting. This scope is not a designated .22 scope and I am thinking the paralax of this scope is not set for the shorter range and quicker drop of the .22 mag. What ya think - replace it with a made for .22 scope ?

better yet buy a scope with adjustable parallax. or just grab a tasco 3-9x50mm at wally world for $35 bucks. great little .22 scope. put thousands of rounds through mine no prob what so ever. great accuracy.

:barf: return the ncstar...as fast as you can. :barf:

I had one that I almost mounted (higher end variable) the you could watch the
cross hairs move up the target as you changed the power...

A half decent tasco or simmons or bushnell for $50ish should work wonders.

If you can afford it a $100ish nikon prostaff 4x would do a super job....

At that time make sure your rings and base are good and tight....

I like my Bushnell banner on mine,,,

Here's my Sportster with a Bushnell Banner 3 x 9 x 40 mounted on it,,,

It's not a dedicated .22 rimfire scope either,,,
But it sure performs nicely.

Feral tin cans fear my name. ;)
