Maybe there is hope

I went to the range yesterday, public range on DNR land. While I was there, a woman comes up to the lane next to me, with a half-dozen or so 10-13 years old girls. She proceeded to go over the 4 rules. It appeared that she had done that with this group many times before they got there, but it must have sunk in, I didn't see any unsafe gun handling. The girls were from the local girl's club and had suggested the trip to the range themselves. It was the first time to fire a gun for 4 of the 6, and they really seemed to enjoy it. I volunteered my lane and the use of my 10/22. It was a worthy cause after all.

Does the "X" ring have to be that small?

PuddlePirate,
You are a gracious man. Very generous of you to allow them the use of your lane and your 10/22. You're the type of person that the anti-gunners don't want the general public to see. We're all supposed to be gun-lovin' wackos. Heaven forbid a firearms owner be kind, polite, and generous. Thanks for setting a good example for the young ladies to emulate, and for taking the time to forward a bit of positive PR on behalf of all firearms owners.

Times have changed, but the nature of man hasn't. That's why I always go to AA, "Alert and Armed". :)

Puddle Pirate,

Bravo!
And a tip of the hat to the lady and her 'charges'.
May they all be to do it again and again...
