"Rosie O'Donnell was once thought to be the savior of the televised Tony Awards. Now she's saddled with a dubious record. Sunday's telecast of Broadway's finest hour on CBS drew only 8.5 million viewers and had the lowest ratings ever for a Tony telecast, Nielsen Media Research said Tuesday."

Yay !!!

If she's controversial but popular and draws viewers, she will be everywhere. If she's controversial but turns away viewers, the industry will shun her very quickly, and move on to the next big thing, no pun intended.
 
Not to be a party pooper but it could also just be a function of the show going up against that stupid "Millionaire" show and the NBA game.
