I am 2/3 throught Unintended Concequences..

For the first time, I wept for my country.

Have we lost and just don't know it?

Someone, please tell me there is hope that we can get on the right track again. or is all hope lost and I should just come to terms with it?

I am **terrified** as to what the government might have in store for us in the next 5 - 10 years.

Jim ,I dont know how many guns you own but I have around 110. If you are terrified, how do you think I feel?
One of my friends has 60 firearms and another has 180.

I dont know what to say except join the NRA at www.nralive.com and Gun Owners of America at www.gunowners.org, the second ammendment foundation at www.saf.org AND VOTE REPUBLICAN
at least for Bush for pres.

If you think you feel bad after reading half of Unintended Consequesces ,read the pure fiction part after page 585 where things turn around and go our way, at least in fiction if never in reality.

Now read my post on tfl, legal & political
tilted: The Hidden Smart Gun Agenda, read
Help Stop Clinton's Handgun Reg. Bill which treats all handguns like National Firearms Act machine guns and places a 50.oo IRS tax on new mfg handguns and a 5.OO registration tax every time the handgun is transfered.
SO far ,this is only a bill and may not become law.
Write and call your congressman and tell them to presevre you civil firearms rights.

It is not a right if you have to buy and pay for it; it is a privledge confired on a bueruecrats whim and a fee.

Read post: Never buy another smith & wesson 2, S&W responds to Contract.

If you thought you felt bad before, welcome to the pits, down here with me!

You could of course ,do what I do to feel better!
Every time they pass a new gun law you buy yourself a new gun to help you feel better.
Thats how you end up owning 110 guns.

I had to stop because all my gun safes got full and I ran out of room for more safes.

Now ,ever time they pass a new gun law I feel really sh~tty and I dont know what to do about it, anymore.

Maybe put an addition on the house to hold more gun safes and start up again or prehaps a visit to the ladies of the evening.

I dont know, the govt makes me most unhappy.

My friends all talk to me about it and try to cheer me up but they are in the dumps with me also. It's nice of them to attempt to cheer
me up,though!

We are having a culture war with the old america on our side and these new pollitically correct thought police new one world order socialist politicians who have hood winked many brain dead americans into
believing that the socialists are correct.

I wish it would all go back to like it was back in the 1950's and then I could enjoy life again.

Amen ernest, I hope I have enough forwarning to make all mine disappear if the need arises. No turn in for me to much invested.
I cannot morally submit to the politicaly stupid. Hopefully better days ahead :)

Well, I "only" own six guns, but my liberal how-many-guns-do-you-need friends think that's five too many. And the one that they want to "allow" me to keep they want registered, and they want my name, picture and fingerprints on a card. Sort of like a death camp tattoo. They want me to store my one gun at the range where I shoot--never mind that I shoot at an outdoor range with no storage facilities.

One of the guns I have is a varmint rifle, of which I have two. Since I "only" have six guns, I need to round out the arsenal for offensive purposes. So, away with one varmint rifle and in comes an "assault" shotgun.

Them hogs like shotguns when they're being fed.
