Maybe a new pocket gun from Hell??

I found a used Taurus .44mag at a local pawn shop. Stainless steel, 3 " barrel, fixed sights, quite a decent trigger pull.

They wanted $279 for it (and would deal off of that), but as soon as they took the stupid gun lock off of it we discovered that the ejector rod had unscrewed at sometime in the past and someone had lost the spring that pushes the center pin back. They pulled it out of the case to have their gunsmith put a new apring in it and are gonna to call me when it is fixed.

Has anyone had any experience with one of these beasts or with the Taurus non-Raging Bull .44mags in general? This little guys seems like it would be a hell of a knock around / carry gun.

I've got a 3" Smith 629 in .44 Mag. It's a great gun, more refined than the Taurus I'd assume but, for the "holy crap" factor alone I'd say grab it. Taurus has the lifetime warranty. So if your wrists can take the stout mag loads have fun. I bet you'll probably put more 44 specials through it than anything........Whit
