Well, if you get Time Magazine please read the one page story on page 80. The title is "Shoot First, Regret Legislation Later" by Michelle Cottle. It is a nice little note by a liberal whom says he is a great skeet ranger? He notes that information twice in his page long rant about Florida's dangerous "Stand Your Ground Law". I am happy to say I didn't buy this rag. It's a free one that the airlines frequent fly program points some how sends me? Don't ask - I have no idea???? Anyhow if this guy even is a real human? Smells like an editor with gun hate on his breath to me??? Seems he is worried that nobody that has a gun has any legal smarts......I think he must figure we are all unable to reason and make any judgement on our own self defending. It's sad that he feels so endangered by this bold act to protect the citizens of Florida. I can gather he has never been in any confrontations with dangerous persons..... Oh well, he has the freedom of the press and we have ours.................. Congrats Florida.........Your the poster child so behave and show the haters we can control our rage....... ;)

And what did the article say about the many other states that have the same law for decades if not centuries? Blood in the streets? Women and minorities gunned down by angry white males with sideburns and facial hair? Panic, terrror and hysteria in the streets?

*chirp-chirp, chirp-chirp* [those are crickets indicating I know they didn't mention any other %$#@& state because only Florida and Texas %$#@@* exist when it comes to guns]

Roger that KS.
You are more than welcome down here Texas and you can bring all your guns.
Hell, down here even us bleeding heart liberals own guns and lots of them. :D

Opps......they forgot to write about that.....

I am so sure it was a total mistake that they forgot to mention that...... I guess they will make sure to correct that part of the article next week ;)

I knew I wasn't alone in my redneckish feelings here.........last off we should grab the hands of our neighbors and sing.......... Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me............. :barf:

"It is a nice little note by a liberal whom says he is a great skeet ranger?"

Unfortunate but true.

Some of the most anti-gun individuals I've ever met have been hardcore shotgun shooters.

You see, their shotgun isn't a gun at all, it's a sporting implement, far too fine and expensive for the feculent masses to ever afford, so it's safe from the prying hands of Congressional do-gooders.

Those cheap as crap Ruger Red Labels?

Why, those are the shotgun equivilent of a saturday night special, and should be banned immediately.

Mr. Irwin

Mike Irwin, you have truly hit the nail on the head.

I frequent both the rifle and shotgun ranges here, and we have many skeet/clays gunners with the same attitude. So much so that I have entirely given up any type of shotgun sport and only go the the shotgun range every so often to use the pattern board.
After the fancy weiners laughed at my Mossberg pump, I left, realizing just what type of delusions excessive amounts of many can place in peoples minds, and the snobbery that so often follows it.

SHOTgunner = ANTIgunner

"Some of the most anti-gun individuals I've ever met have been hardcore shotgun shooters."

AMEN, Brother! They cling to the delusions that:

1. "No-one needs a [pick any or all] "assault weapon," "sniper rifle" "Saturday Night Special" CCW or pistol;"

2. "Only police and the military should have [pick any or all] "assault weapons," or hand guns;" and

3. THEY'RE special because their guns are "sporting."

They are also oblivious to the fact that the anti-gunners don't want ANYone to own ANY gun, and that the anti-hunters and anti-gunners work together to ban hunting.

No hunting, no self-defense, what's left - "sport?" We all know the answer to that one: "Get yourself another hobby!"

And these myopic cretins take us down with them. :barf:

I had the same thing happen once when I showed up with my Smith & Wesson 3000 police cruiser with an 18.5" cylinder bore barrel.

The smugness started to evaporate when on Wobble Trap I showed just how effective one of those could be. My 48 of 50 shut some mouths that afternoon.

They may not understand much, but they do generally understand good shooting.

---------------

If I may attempt to read between the lines, I think the point was that the article's author, a supposed firearms enthusiast, calls himself a "skeet ranger". I know high end shotgunners are strange, but "skeet ranger"?

Tim

Should refer the author to the recent National Public Radio broadcast that came up with a big "*YAWN* So what? Your point is...?" for those that are worried about the law.

I never buy Time magazines. I steal them from waiting rooms and then throw them away so they don't pollute the rest of the human race. :D

Which states have no duty to retreat outside the home now? Florida, Texas, Indiana... where else? Packing.org should add a "duty to retreat" space near all their other yes/no information at the top of each state's page.

TimRB (Ranger's)

I confess I gave the so called author of the note that title... and I regret doing so. I meant it as a skeet + range person....... I should have thought what a slap in the face to the US Army's Rangers..... Guys and girls I am more than sorry for using the good name Ranger with this fool's folleys.... Again my hat is to the Real Rangers. I spent about 3 weeks with them in Germany. They along with the Special Forces troops are super great. I will soon post a tribute to them as well as the Navy Seals, Marine Forced Recon, Air Force Para Rescue and each and every other person in our military forces. Everyone and I mean everyone are near and dear......and I thank them all......... Knowing the great bunch they are, I know I am forgiven :D

Thanks Tim for getting me to see what I did there......... Opps ;)
