I am able to get as much Maxam CSB-1 as I want does anyone use it, or is it any good. I would like to load 40, 9mm, and 380 ACP if possible. If you use it and have some load data and would like to share it with me that would be great.

I have loaded a bunch of 38, 9mm, 40 , 45 colt, and light 357's with it. Only thing to watch, is lot-lot variance. thats why I bought 20 lbs when i had a chance. Start with low universal data

Yes I use it in 38special, 9mm, 32mag, 327 mag. I have also used it in .380,32L
It works but is not the preferred choice in the light bullet small case realm.

It performs real well in the same kinds of loads you would use Unique or Universal for.
I am finding it to be the Cats A$$ for 38 special using 158 lead bullets.

I find it really clean burning when your creating enough pressure with the heavier bullets.
For 38 special I run 158gr powder coated and my 9mm I am running 147gr powder coated lead.
After shooting I dont even need to clean the guns. They stay that clean.
It does get a little sooty with the lighter bullet 85gr in the 32L and 90 gr in the .380.

Good stuff. It will remain in my rotation for sure.

I may look into CSB-5 I hear tell its a faster burn. may work better in the lighter loads that I use Red Dot for now.
If it does I may permanently swear off Alliant as my source.
