This new pistol looks interesting.
Has anyone shot one or own one?????
I have an old pre WW1 mauser rifle and it shoots incredible.
I would like one in .45acp and I am unable to find any price info etc....
This board is the ultimate for facts, and opinions.
Thanks boys...

Go to www.sigarms.com and www.mauserpistols for specs. In a past issue of American Rifleman, you do get that don't you :), there was an article on it. I've actually handled a Mauser M2 demo at a show, unfortunately didn't get to shoot it. Very comfortable, pointed well, looked well-made. Has a rotating barrel like the Beretta Cougar series, aluminum frame, stainless steel slide, and DA striker-fired. I love Sigs and it feels closest to the P229 but didn't feel as heavy. Two things I don't like about it are that it has a magazine safety and a manual safety which is a switch at the rear of the gun. In the American Rifleman article, they like it except for the weight and the safety. They recommended shaving off some weight and lowering the profile of the safety which was done. The safety is very low profile and it's optional. The weight is several ounces lighter as well. Supposed to sell at a lower price and would be a good buy if it's not a lemon. Supposed to be out by now, but it's not, and I don't know why.

DAKODAKID, I've been intrigued with these since first seeing it in a magazine article. (Okay, lusting after one ;)) Someone asked if anyone had played with one yet a while back and got no answers. KOG, may be closet that a member has came to one so far.
Personally I am nor enamored with the feel of the Sig. (Nothing at all against them. They just don't feel right to me and I truly wish they did because I love everthing else about them. :() But I would like to have one of the Mausers if for no other reason than the name stapped on the side.
