Mauser m12 yay, or nay?

ive been looking at the m12 a lot recently and even though i already have "to many" guns one more never hurts but, with the m12 every now and then i see someone posting things that make me reconsider.most of these people are mauser purest.most of them seem most upset by the push feed, hammer forged barrel or something about the bolt handle. now as much i'd like to call myself a purist for such a fine company (i still wash my hands after touching a r700:p) im not an engineer or a gunsmith. so could someone please tell me is the gun as glorious in the hands as it looks in the poster.Or is it the dream car thats best to stay in the poster?

Yeah I was just seeing if it was the same machine quality of its predisessors and people around here tend to know all sorts of info that I couldn't normally have access to.
By the way you would make an excellent salesmen.

Isn't the m3 like a few thousand though??? I can justify under 2k but to my memory the m3 is like 4k +
I do like detach mags though. lots of stupid laws where I am mean loading and unloading frequently, and when you have to unload all 5 rounds and just throw em in your pocket that can get annoying.

Well, yeah, if I HAD to buy a detachable mag rifle, it would be an M12 or M3 - those things are in there solidly, with the release well-protected.

Yeah, M3s are a LOT. :)

Good luck and keep us updated. What chamberings are you looking at?

8mm or 30-06, I already have a t3 in .308 around so that's covered. I have dye sets for both, but honestly 8mm vs 30-06, from what I know the difference is marginal.

Take a good look at the m12 and a Sauer next to each other. Hope they come down in price, 1245.00 is more than my plumber's purse can bare.

.

You can't go wrong with either one of them. 8 mm is a bit more exotic, 30-06 has more bullet offerings.
