Bolt stop not closing against the side of receiver.Replaced with one that was working on a FN action, still not closing.Switched back to orginal stop and replaced with new ejector, still not closing.Opened up ejector slot slightly and polished same.Ejector spring not broken. What else to try?

Sir:
It's possible someone has messed with the projection from the action (after you get the screw out you can check it). or the heavy spring is not bearing on the split projection out of the action.
Are you sure it is the factory screw and is there a worn place on the screw.
Who did you get the gun from and was it sporterized?
The angle on the projection can be off.

Sir:
If the projection is not angled you might need to carefully file tapered toward muzzle.
If it's screwed up you can always weld it up and redo it - get another action to compare.

Thanks Harry Bonar

Its just a complete action that was stripped of finish that I got for a new project. It seems that in buffing the action, they over polished the tabs.A few strokes of a file and a tap with a hammer fixed the problem.I love the old Mausers this will be my third.(none were collectors just parts)
Thanks
Roger
