Shooters:

Picked up the Mauser last Thurs. Sat down and read the manual. No surprises there save for having to take out a hex screw in the field strip process. Came in a nice hard case with manual, tools and extra front sights.

The magazine is really heavy duty, made out of some kind of "pot" metal. Magazine also has a thumb slide on both sides making loading a breeze.

Ran five different kind of ammo. First fifty shots no fails of any kind. At 7 yards it was grouping nicely but low. Gun came with five other front sights plus the tools you need to replace them. Installed a shorter front sight and was right on the money. With my arms on a rest I was getting inch and a half groups. Wow. This heavy gun shooting 22lr has made me a better shot! Gotta love that. Ran 150 rounds with no problems at all. Love this thing.

The trigger was like . . .

Shane:

I thought the trigger was crisp, but I have fairly unrefined tastes in that regard.

Given the tight groups I was getting I'd have to say the trigger was good.

Yes, used to be GSG

One of my shooting buddies has a GSG that is identical, save for color, to my mauser.
