Where might I obtain some Match Grade ammo for a .308 WIN for target use? And what grain tip is recommended? I have had people tell me to use a 175 graind and others say use 168. Any help would be appreciated.

Federal Gold medal Match is the old standard. But take a look at the 168gr Match stuff from Honaday (Fantastic). 168 is the starting point the 175 will have less drop at longer ranges.

Depends on twist. 168 works in the standard 11.25" twist, and the 175 works extremely well in the 1-in-10 that most people are using for match shooting. In my guns, 175s have been less than perfect in the 1-in-11.25, and awesome in the 1-in-10. Greenhill formula.....

168 gr. is perfect in my Remington 700PSS with easy sub-MOA at .6". 180gr. hunting rounds open up to 2". 150gr. hunting rounds are sub-MOA at .75". The PSS is 1-12". I have not tried 175gr. yet, but have heard mixed results in PSS's from great to so-so.

I use Federal Gold Medal Match and mostly Black Hills red-box 168gr. BTHP Match.
