Maryland Wants Residents to Die

That's the only conclusion that I can come to. If I were living in Sniper County, Maryland, the best protection that I can think of from a sniper attack, aside from moving to a non-communist state, is to wear a bulletproof (okay, resistant) vest, but from perusing the archive of TFL, there have been several recent attempts by the Maryland legislature to ban sale of bulletproof vests to civilians.

Interesting, isn't it.

This would be a nice time to bring this up in Maryland. It's as if the politicians said, "In preparation for the upcoming sniper attacks, we're going to make sure you are unable to buy protection."

Official Seeks to Limit Sale of Body Armor

Glendening Seeks to Restrict Bulletproof Vest Sales

Glendening seems like a dope.

He was the guy who went on camera to demonstrate how easy and fast it was to get a gun lock off, wasn't he? Didn't it take him so long that he had to ask for help to get the thing removed?

Well, you'd need some heavy body armor to stop a .223cal round. Most vests will not stop high powered rifle ammo without using steel or ceramic plates inserted. However if the shooter sees someone wearing a vest, he'd either find another victim or aim for your head.Ebay has lots of choices and unless you plan on commiting a felony wearing it or wearing it over your clothing, I wouldn't worry about the liberals.
