Marvel Precision Unit 1 or Beretta 87 Target, more accurate than .22/.45?

I already have a Ruger 22/45 and have a LOT of fun with it. I was thinking of adding another .22 to the mix for fun at the range and was wondering how much more accurate I can expect the firearm to be if I got a Marvel Precision Unit 1 to slap onto one of my 1911 frames [RIA/Kimber/Caspian are the choices], when compared to my .22/.45 with 5.5" bull barrel? What about the Beretta 87 Target? I actually like the looks of that one a lot also.

I acknowledge that all three shoot better than I do, but I'm just trying to figure out if spending the price of 2 or 3 .22/.45's is worth it on something that won't function significantly better than my current .22lr?

I lean toward the Marvel unit 1 because it is cheaper than the Beretta and would help me work on trigger control for my 1911, but it IS around $550 [shipped] or so. I DO like crisp triggers also. That is a deal-breaker for me. I have that on all of my pistols currently.

Hmmmm....

Any thought to help clear [or muddy] the waters?

Other than revolver options?

My 87 is hyper accurate. More than me. I simply can't stand and shoot and get all its got. Very close to my smith and wesson 41's.

As an example my Marvel came with a 5 shot test target that was shot at 50 yards that measured in the .81s:

I do not know what your Beretta is capable of in your hands, but the Marvel unit is far more capable than I will ever be. It is nice to know your gear is capable of such accuracy.

My Gen 1 Marvel unit is the most accurate .22 I own. That's comparing to the other .22 target guns I have, several High Standards, Brownings and an S&W 41. The Marvel is just an amazing piece of equipment.
