I posted this report on the 1911Forum back in Nov, and it still is true!!
1 week delivery on a new Marvel .22 conversion unit for my KIMBER Custom Target.
Conversion from .45 to .22 took less than 1 minute.
It's much more accurate than I am with 59 year old eyes, but this thing worked every time. Functioned flawlessly with REM, and Fed hollow points and solid lead points.
NO FT Feed-fire/FTE etc, as long as I kept my thumb off the safety and did not rest the slide on a sand bag. My usual grip shooting .45 acp is to hold my thumb on the safety (and apparently also on the slide), but that procedure slows down the action on the MARVEL and it will hang either in eject mode or feed, depending on how much pressure I placed on the slide. Same with the sand bag rest.
Out of the box, and freehand, a full 10 rnd mag, functioned smoothly, slow or rapid fire. MARVEL utilizes a screw down recoil rod that locks the barrel down into the frame. Absolutely no movement/looseness once its installed and tightened down. But it did loosen up during shooting, MARVEL's instructions say to periodically retighten the recoil rod.
Based on comments about KIMBER's and Ceiner's conversion units (both the same) the MARVEL's a much better unit, although more expensive. I'M HAPPY
