My son just purchased a Marlin lever gun used. Curious how old it is. Model 1870 336. 30/30 cal. I'm guessing was made about 1975?

. From 1948 to 1968 Marlin used a letter prefix to date their firearms. From 1969 o 1972 the first two digits was the DOM. From 1972 to, I guess the present , (?) subtract the first two digits from 100 to come up with the DOM.HorseshoerJT
