Marlin "Original" Golden 39A

I have the above rifle. I think that part of the action is broken. There is some kind of spring type device that is just above where the lever attaches. It looks like it has broken about half way. Does anyone have a picture of what the lever part of the action looks like?

Thanks

If your're talking about a spring in a recess on the left side of the frame upon takedown, that's the ejector spring.

I think fal308 is correct. You are probably descibing the spring loaded ejector.

I rebuilt a 39-A about 2 years ago and needed a new ejector and spring. I was able to order them direct from Marlin quite inexpensively.

Good Luck...

No it is not the ejector spring. This is on the Lever side. It is attached just behind where the Lever in screwed on.
