Last night I went to take apart my marlin model 60 for cleaning. I was using an online guide and I coulnt do one of the steps it wanted me to so I flipped the rifle over and right on the barrel it said Model 99:eek: I couldn't belive I was so stupid to not even read the barrel first but so now I cant find any dissasmbley stuff on the internet so if someone could point me to a website that would be great:D

The two models should be similar enough for you to continue using the Model 60 instructions.

The Model 60 was a derivative of the Model 99, and the two are extremely similar. About the only mechanical difference on the 99 will be the lack of an automatic bolt hold-open.

If you don't trust yourself to do it with Model 60 instructions, take it to a gunsmith or your local gun shop. Most will charge no more than $40 to detail strip and clean it.
