Marlin Model 70

I have a model 70 .22 with pretty beat to hell furniture. I have called a couple stores and nothing. My question is how common are replacement stocks for this rifle. I prefer wood, but would settle for syn. if wood is more scarce.

I am not 100% sure that this is correct but I think it is. I think you can use a trigger group from a 795 and put your 70 into a 795 stock. You can definitely go the other way and put a 795 into a 70 stock if you inlet it for the longer 795 trigger guard/mag well.

Stocks...

Chasing Whitetails 91--If you want a used original equipment stock, I agree, Numrich is the way to go.

If you want a nice-looking, obviously NOT OE stock, I'd look into what Boyd's Stocks has to offer. They have stocks in walnut and also laminated, either all varnished and finished, or DIY on the sanding and finishing. Good people.

Either way, please keep us posted! :)
