Marlin model 60 issues

Ok so heres the issue.... I took my 60 apart today to clean it and part of the feed throat (i believe thats what its called) snapped off into little pieces. I was planing on selling it anyways, but now im wondering if i should part it out, sale it as a whole as "needs new feed throat", or just replace the feed throat then sale it?! Any imput would be apreciated! Thanks!

Never saw a feed throat break in over 40 years, tho I've seen a pile that were worn out. Many times the bolt buffer breaks apart--the plastic thing at the end of the trigger group. That having been said, the only feed throats available are the new type. When you have an older type, you buy the kit which includes a new type lifter and lifter spring/ejector. Don't know where the changeover occurred, but on some I've had to change the bolt body which is modified to match the new throat. Best of luck to you. Not a hard job, but a pain to disassemble the trigger group to put in the new throat. Goatwhiskers

Have you tried calling Marlin? They might send you the parts for free. Shouldn't be a difficult replacement, just be careful that springs don't go rocketing around when you take it apart.
