Marlin Guide Gun Scope mount???

I have a question about putting a Quick Release mount on my Marlin Guide Gun. My problem is wanting a quality mount that will allow me to remove my scope and be able to remount and go back to zero.

Any suggestions? I have been told the QR Leupold one piece mount is to thick and use the iron sights when the scope is removed.

I would appreciate your input.

Thanks,

I've had good luck with a Weaver "Pivot" mount on my Savage Model 99, chambered in .358 Winchester, that allows me to swing my Redfield "WideField" scope out of the way if I need to access my factory irons. In my experience, the scope has pretty much held its zero, despite being pivoted aside and returned to the receiver several times in succession. Pachmayr made a similar mounting system, different in design and configuration but with the same purpose, called the "Lo-Swing". I doubt that either product has been made for a long time now but they can occasionally be found at gun shows reasonably priced. Might be worth the search if my experience is any indication as to the general worthiness of this system.
