Marlin Glenfield Model 20 .22LR HELP

I was given this old bolt action, mag fed rifle from my dad.
I've gone through it and everything seems fine. BUT when I go to chamber a round it won't enter it is to tight. YES I have the right ammo and yes I have bore brushed the hell out of it to remove any burrs. Any suggestions on tools or what the problem could be?

little info

Most burrs will not be removed by using a bore brush. You need to break the gun down and have a look to check if there are any burrs. Once you have it broken down, try to load the round by hand. If you still have problems loading, check on the same side as the firing pin strikes on. You might need to chamfer the chamber mouth as well. I use a knife blade to chamfer most 22's chamber mouth. If you find any burrs, I would have a smith remove them for you since he will have the tools to remove them. Most likely, someone dry-fired the rifle which will definitely cause a burr in the chamber if it isn't designed to be dry-fired. Good luck with the rifle.
