hello
i'm looking for general info about Marlin Camb carbine, especially its .45acp version. When it did appear on the market first? when it was dropped from production? what kind of action it had (blowback? some kind of locked breech?) Was it good or average or marginal gun?

thanks in advance. Please, copy your replies to my email if you can.

Welcome Max

It's straight blow-back. The bolt in the .45 weighs 15 ounces (just shy of a pound). The barrel has Marlin's micro-groove rifling, which is very accurate. The guns takes 1911 pistol mags or higher capacity mags. Parts are still available from Brownells.com and other sources.

Stopped production in around 1999. I have one and I think it is a great gun. If you're thinking of buying one, I recommend it.

Regards.
