Just given a Marlin/Glenfield 60 in .22LR , manufactured in the 70's. Only problem is that it does not fire. Would like to break it down, clean it and see if I can figure out why it will not fire. Did not receive any manual with the rifle and would like to get ahold of a manual.

You can contact Marlin and get one. The following is from their website (http://www.marlinfirearms.com/FAQs/index.htm#Q02):

Having purchased some spare parts from them, they seem to like to be contacted by mail. Once they get you letter, their response is pretty prompt.
