Marlin 60/795 Barrel Swap?

Is this feasable? Could a 21" 60/70/75 barrel be put on a 795 receiver without much fuss?

Numrich sells 21" clip feed semi auto barrels...Hmmm:confused:
 
I know the 795 receiver has a hole in the front for the 60's tube magazine. I can't fathom a reason for Marlin to make the two receivers compatible at that spot and not where the barrel attaches.

Are you having problems of some kind with your 795 barrel?
 
Same receiver, same barrel. The difference is in the lower assembly that houses the fire control and the feed mechanism.
