Marlin 39A "Right to Bear Arms"

I have a Marlin 39A (22 cal) rifle that was bought new in 1971. It's the "Right to Bear Arms 1871-1971" issue. I'd like to say it's never been fired but when I was a kid I used to shoot it regularly. The barrel is octagon, the blueing is in very good shape showing no wear marks, and the wood has a few very very light love marks here and there, (no gouges or scratches). It is also marked "CAL 22S, L, & LR" and has micro-grooving. I have the original manual too.
Somebody told me it is worth a lot of money. I know that without actually seeing the rifle it's impossible to give a true estimate, but could you give me a ballpark idea? I may want to sell it since I never shoot it.

Mesa, the rifle your describing is the Marlin Model 39A Article II manufactured in 1971. There were 6,244 rifles(24" barrel) & 3,824 carbines(20" barrel) produced. Per Fjestad, at 95% condition either version could be worth $375 and $295 at 80% condition. Hope this helps!
