At the show last weekend I picked up a Marlin 336RC in .35 Rem.
The barrel is the same length as the 336c/sc but the stock has a straight grip like a Winchester 94 or more accurately, an 1894 Marlin.
I have always liked the .35 Rem for hunting in the woods. This round out my battery of .35's. A Rem 760, a Swedish Mauser rebarreled to .35 and now this lever gun.
I have always wanted a .35 lever gun but still consider the pistol gripped marlin 336 to be the ugliest gun in the woods. This gun looks almost like my old 336T (Texan) in .30-30.
Does anyone know what the RC in the model designation stands for? or when this gun was made?
Thanks for the help
Jay
