Anyone have this gun? I'm thinking of buying one and was wondering how they perform? How is the finish on the metal?

Thanks,

Jay

The Marlin 336M has a excellent fit and finish. Accuracy is as good as any other lever gun. Typical Marlin quality. Great! The only drawback is that this gun is not entirely made of stainless steel. The hammer, rings and internal parts are nickel finish. The sights are blue. Gun can be rendered inoperable (rust) if not properly maintained.

Thanks for your reply! What would be a good price for one?

They cost the dealer roughly $370, plus shipping. I would think that $430-$450 is a fair price at the retail level.

Thanks Again.

I found a dealer in my area who has them in stock ( not many do). He is asking $445. I'll shop around a little more before making a decision.
