Marlin 336C 30-30 - Need "full" service info.

This 15-year-old like-new lever action has less than 25 rounds through it. Mainly it's been stored (shotguns only around here).

I want to do a full clean, inspect, and lube and need full instructions on any breakdown, etc. All info appreciated. Thanks.

You can get an owner's manual from Marlin. Go to http://www.marlinfirearms.com. under the questions section, it explains all.

The short version is that all Marlins field strip by removing the bolt holding the lever in the receiver. Open the lever about 45 degrees or so first then pull the bolt out from the lever and frame. You should be able to grasp the rifle bolt now and pull out from the rear of the receiver. Watch out for the ejector spring though! Most of the disassembly manuals list a variant of the Marlin also.
