I love those lever actions. I've got a chance to pick up a pretty nice Marlin 336 Cowboy in 30/30 for $240. Excellent checkering, blueing's perfect.
I'd been thinking about a Browning BLR in 22-250, but it's several hundred more bucks.
I just want another lever action for my collection, something with a little more ooomph than my Marlin 1894CS in .357. I've got a Remington 700BDL 30-06 for deer hunting, I just want a gun for fun (brush, varmits, targets, etc). $240 for the Marlin or save up an extra $300 for the Browning?
I just don't have that much experience with long guns to know which way I ought to turn, but I'm betting some of you guys do.
Thanks for your opinions!
