Marlin 22lr

I have a Marlin model 81 22 LR. It has side mount scope holes only. I ordered and installed the Weaver #2 side mount bracket. What else (other part) do I need to mount a scope on this thing?

If the mount doesn't come with rings, you'll need 'em.

My 1960 Marlin 81 has two parallel grooves on top of the receiver for typical rimfire scope mounts. Plus it has two holes tapped on the left side of the receiver for a rear aperture sight. It is a simple process to mount a rimfire scope if your 81 has the grooves.

no parralell grooves. Just threaded holes on the side of the receiver.
