I'm just starting in CAS and had a question.
I've just read the SASS Shooter's Handbook and here is what it states:
"Any lever or slide action, tubular fed, exposed hammer rifle or carbine manufactured before 1899, or any reproduction thereof."
It appears the Marlin 1894P (44 mag) is acceptable for CAS but it's not a reproduction of an actual pre-1899 model.
Anybody know for sure?
Second question:
Anybody shoot a Vaquero Sheriff? I just bought one in glossy SS and ivory composite grips. I'm thinking about a 2-gun leather rig that will hold the Sheriff in a cross-draw with my Vaquero Bisley hanging at my right side.
Thanks in advance for any responses.
