Marlin 1894CSS. Still made??

I was at a local Wisconsin gun shop recently and inquired about the Marlin 1894CSS. I've decided that my next rifle will be this one. It will compliment my Smith .357 and cut down on the variety of calibers to keep in my stock.

BUT....the local shop says that Marlin does not make these anymore and they cannot be ordred.

Anyone have any insight on this? I might write Marlin, but thought I'd check here first.

Whether or not they still make them, I dont know. But Ive seen them for sale n.i.b. both on the internet and at the lgs. Saw one yesterday, and if it wasnt $140 more than the standard version I would have bought it.

Remington has temporarily suspended production on several leverguns while they research, revamp, and re-equip.
Wait about four months & try again.

Recent samples have been problematical & you SHOULD NOT commit to buying a new one sight unseen.
