I have a Marlin 22lr and just love it.

I was looking through their catalogue the other day nad noticed that theysell a .357MAG/.38spl Carbine lever action. Does anyone know if these are any good?

Does any other company make a .357 carbine, Marlin seems to be the only one that I have seen so far.

I have owned and shot a little Rossi copy of the Winchester '92 chambered in .357 for many years. The rifle is slick, reliable, and with the Lyman tangent reciever sight my 'smith added, quite accurate. I have always gotten a kick out of those that say the .357 in a revolver or Contender is fine for deer hunting, but snear at a .357 carbine. The reality is that from the carbine, the .357 will do what most think it will do from a handgun.

Yes the 1894's are great little lever action guns, accurate reliable, lightweight, handy, what more could you ask for? Makes a great ranch carbine or HD rifle.
