yesterday i picked up a nice little Marlin 100G .22 single shot bolt action from a local gun shop. it reminded me of the guns we shot at summer camp when i was younger. everything on it seems original and in good condition. and for $50 out the door i could not pass it up.

i have not been able to find much info on these guns. are they solid? do they shoot straight? any info would be great. thanks.

THIEF!!!

Good pick-up!

Retired mine when I bought the 77/22 in early 80's.

Cut the stock for daughters' use, when learning to shoot.

Just reattached cut-oof to bring back on-line as a rabbit / squirrel rifle in the snow.

Just a single take-down screw and theaction on the stock, maybe try putting two areas of bedding ( JB weld / Marine Tex or regular firearms bedding) for making more solid bed??

Make a bore guide and clean from breech.

range test.

well i took it too the range today. this gun rocks! at 50 ft i put all 25 shots in a 3 inch circle from a standing position. not bad for a $50 gun! i cant wait to take it up north and use it to thin out the aluminium can population. :D

Sounds like a pretty good deal. I picked up a Marlin 15YN for my oldest boy a few months ago at a gun show, that's turned out to be a pretty decent shooter so I see no reason why your 100G wouldn't shoot well.
