My daughter picked up a slightly used Ruger MK III recently and being the Tomboy she is immediately took it all apart...yup, she cannot reassemble it.

Now she comes to daddy with all the parts in a box.

Having an MK I, I know the basic "tricks" of reassembly but I understand the
MK III has its own special difficulties.

If any one out there has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate all.

Download Rugers user manual. Read the direction on reassembly and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY.
 
While it's apart, I'd take the opportunity to replace the problem causing parts-hammer bushing and magazine safety junk.
 
Jam-O-Matic

Remove the little tab that projects in to the chamber for the loaded chamber indicator.
My Mk 3 hunter was jamming at least once per mag until I did that little mod.

After I removed that little tab, I get a jam about every 4-5 mags. Night and day difference.
