Mark 3 (Pancor?) Jackhammers - whatever happened to these?

I saw the one Jackhammer that was in private hands for sale on some ad board somewhere. As I recall, the price was somewhere around $25,000. I've never heard anything about them being banned, but thats entirely possible. I would just imagine that they never quite caught on and just faded away.
