Rjknewfire, Mike was correct! Your Model 28-2 was made around 1966-1967. Hope this helps!

OK, guys, time to let you in on my secret....
I've got two 28s, a 4 and a 6.
Both are 28-2s.
The 28-2 was introduced in 1961, and in 1969 the serial number went over to the N prefix.
It's those little things you tend to remember.
Production was sometime in 1966, if extrapolating a smooth production of N-frames, probably sometime between June and September or October.
