Manu. date - Rem. Model 12

I believe I have a Remington model 12c. The serial no is 5211XX. It is in fair condition and the plunger is missing. On the side of the bbl there is a very small ww. Also, should the serial no. on the bbl match the number inside the receiver?

How would I find out what the manufacture date time frame was?
 
Or go to Wal Mart and buy a Blue Book of Gun values and look in the serialization section in the back.
 
No need to call Remington Cust Service.

FWIW, "ww" is the Remington Letter Date Code for August 1928.


Unlike many other brands, Remingtons aren't SN dated - they are letter date coded on the barrel, sometimes problematic with interchangeable detachable-barrel guns like 870's & 1100's, etc.
