A couple months ago I met a guy I was selling a shotgun to at a LGS that I had never been to. (Have to do all transfers through a FFL in Colorado now). They has this very lightly used 617-6 4" with the platic case and all paperwork for sale for $480. The gun was made this year with the fired case case dated in March. Gun shoots and handles as well as any of my K-22's which now range in age from 1936-2013. With the RB this is a great gun for someone with smaller hands, haven't decided whether I will put some different grips on it as I like the ergonomics of these they are just a little small.

Well, you already know you got a good deal on a great gun.

I can imagine the fun you'll have shooting it and when someone mentions they are interested in getting a DA revolver you can put this in their hands and they can get an introduction to how a revolver functions using one of the best platforms around.

Very, very nice.

Nice, I just saw a NIB one going for just shy of $800 at my LGS. So, I would say you got one heck of a deal for one that's not even a year old. Nice score!

Wow! You did steal that fine revolver. I have new a 6" bbl 617 and it is a great 22lr handgun, one of the greatest ever. They are pretty scarce around here so it took me six months to finally get my paws on one. If I ran across a 4" version for $480, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
