Man arrested after stun gun found in baggage

MoW,

could I please ask (and if you get offended, take it as the flu talking).... could you at least post some part of the article that you are linking to? A feeder or a teaser maybe...

The article is stupid. The TSA is stupid. The stun gun was in a carry-on.

Stun guns are not weapons. They are toys.

The article uses the word "gun" in the last paragraph to refer to the stun gun. That is an invalid shortening of "stun gun," and demonstrates the total lack of decent editing in the news these days.

Uhh you might want to check out where that took place. In Illinois where I believe ( IANAL ) that carrying a stun gun is a criminal matter. I have been told that it is the same charge as carrying a firearm ( I do not know for certain the charge, am certain it is a crime )

Does that mean I can snaek up behind you, put it to your neck and pull the tirgger without you being mad?
No. I'd also be made if someone I hadn't met shot a nerf gun at me out of the blue.

Sure, you might cure my stiff neck.
I do not really feel any effect from these things other than a twinge and some tingleing. When I was in physical therapy for an injury they used something like it on me that was way more powerfull and it actually made my injury better. Not a weapon IMO. Makes a cool scary effect though.

Note that I am NOT refering to those probe firing tasers if that is what this is about. From what I hear those can be effective.
